The Lovely B anes was written by Alice Sebold in 2002. It is slightly Susie Salmon, a normal fourteen-year-old girl arouseing up in the suburbs, who is sexually assaulted and murdered. When she is killed she goes to her heaven that gives her anything she wished for. However, the one thing Susie actually wants is to be back on earth growing up with her friends and family. This is the one thing she cant have in heaven. She is hardly able to think of how her friend and family react to her murder when she goes missing, and a neighborhood dog finds part of her body. She watches as her parents grow apart, and her friends grow up and experience things she can only dream of.
Her tiro becomes unsatisfied with the police, and begins investigating Susies death on his own. His investigating leads him to suspect the man who murdered Susie, George Harvey. Her father goes to the police with his suspicion, exclusively the police cannot arrest him due to lack of evidence.
Susie also watches her sister, Lindsey, as she experiences major life moments. She watches as Lindsey signs her first boyfriend, her first touch and loses her virginity, seeing Lindsey grows up. Lindsey soon grows to share her fathers object to find Susies killer, who she learned about from her Grandma.




Susie also watches, scape Singh, the boy she had a crush on before she died. re soon becomes the first suspect, but is quickly ruled out. However, he soon becomes an outcast at his school because of it. Rays only friend soon becomes Ruth Connors. Ruth was the get person Susies spirit touched while locomotion from earth to heaven. Due to the interaction, Ruth becomes obsessed with Susie and death.
George Harvey, the man who killed Susie, was a serial killer. Susie sees him hide her body and lie to everyone about what happed.
