Introduction
Ansel Adams (1902-1984) was born in San Francisco. When he was four years old, an aftershock of an quake threw him to the ground, breaking his nose and marking him for life.
In his childhood old age he would spend most of his time playing in the sand dunes beyond the Golden Gate and I look at that this is where he gained an interest for nature, which would become his primary source of photographic work and inspiration.
