Autumn Leaves xanthous orchid Pattern of Leaves
In 1905 Georgia started studying art at the school of the Art institute. The pieces of work of that I run through chosen are Autumn Leaves , Pattern of Leaves and Yellow Orchid . I think that these pieces of work are quite outline and they are quite interesting. I chose Autumn Leaves because I handle the way the colours harmonise with each other and I like the detail that has gone into this. I chose Pattern of leaves because I like the contrast between the black leaf and the sportsmanlike leaf.



I like the texture in Pattern of leaves because the jaggedness of the leaf shows that it is old and dried up and looks like it is going to finish at any second. I chose Yellow Orchid because the jet plane bit in the middle looks almost like a Octopus and I like the detail that has gone into this sketch as well.
I would describe her work as an cop inheringist since she always bases her art work on something natural and her work is quite abstract.

She was born on November 15th 1887 and died on sue 6th 1986.
She was a major figure in American art from the 1920s
