The books, The Kingdom of Matthias and The Murder of Helen Jewett might seem like an mismatched comparison when looked upon for a common background. The kingdom of Matthias in short, lay outs us how people in strict religious views move to a place where they can be free from a order without laws. The Murder of Helen Jewett shows us a new-fashioned woman who is fortunate in her own right but her life ends in a tragedy that will never be solved.
