What is afterlife? What do we know about ancient Egypt and what it meant in Egyptian culture?
Ancient Egypt that we know is more often than not identified by its enormous pyramids, in particular the corking Pyramid at Giza, which was built during the middle of the third millennium, BC. These pyramids ar massive monuments built over or around a crypt or tomb. These pyramids are served as royal tombs. Not yet do these colossal constructions depict the Egyptians advanced architectural abilities, solely they also give us an insight into their view system. unluckily for today’s world we only know of their beliefs as their advanced architecture were lost and never found yet. Their beliefs were base on their view of life as a process, which began on earth, but continued in the afterlife, or continued world after death. Egyptians believed that proper burial ensured the deceased entrance into the afterlife.
Their belief was that in enunciate for the soul to pass into the next life, the remains must remain intact; therefore, to preserve it, they developed the procedures of cold gangrene or embalming, the art of preserving bodies after death, generally by the use of goods and services of chemical substances. The preservation was essential to resurrecting or moving on to the afterlife. The preserved body would then be placed in the pyramid, which was considered a vessel that transported the deceased into the afterlife. The afterlife was extremely strategic to the Ancient Egyptians. They waited practically their whole bears to have the honor of red on to the next world. Their unusual burial methods and rituals are found on their belief in rebirth after death.
